Patrick B. Bustamante

Wealth Preservation & Trust Advisor

Patrick B. Bustamante serves as Gateville Law Firm's Wealth Preservation & Trust Advisor. In this role, Patrick works closely with estate planning clients after their documents are completed to help them understand the practical steps involved in funding and maintaining their revocable living trusts. He is especially focused on providing responsive, patient, and client-friendly service so that clients have a knowledgeable point of contact when questions arise during the trust funding process.

Patrick assists clients with the administrative process of coordinating trust funding, including helping clients identify which assets may need additional attention and explaining the next steps for changing ownership or beneficiary designations when appropriate under the firm's attorneys' direction. When helpful, Patrick goes with clients to banks and other financial institutions to support them through the process, help communicate what the trust documents require, and assist with trust-funding questions. Gateville Law Firm remains available throughout the process so clients are not simply handed a trust binder and left to figure out funding on their own.

Patrick is known for being good with customers and for his ability to communicate clearly, listen carefully, and help clients feel supported through what can otherwise be a confusing administrative process. His legal education and prior public-service and legal-aid experience complement his customer-service responsibilities. Patrick earned his J.D. from Northern Illinois University College of Law in May 2025 and his bachelor's degree from Purdue University in 2021. His prior experience includes work with NIU Student Legal Aid, Hesed House, and the Center for Disability & Elder Law.

When working with our attorneys, you can make sure your wealth will be properly preserved.

Our estate planning team can provide guidance on the best asset protection options that are available to you.
